Ridgeway Village Square

The village of Ridgeway Ontario will soon have a gathering place downtown. Ridgeway’s Village Square will be a beautiful addition to the heritage buildings and picturesque streetscape of the downtown core.

The Ridgeway Village Square open-air pavilion will be used for a variety of purposes, such as concerts and festivals, and there will be a splash pad water feature for kids.

Ridge Road is a historic street where the village sprung up around a railway, which is now the Friendship Trail.  The area was a farming community that had been originally settled by United Empire Loyalists in the early 1700s.

Today, there are new homes rapidly being built and areas being redeveloped, as people discover and fall in love with the Ridgeway-Crystal Beach area. Friendly downtown Ridgeway is a complete community, where people live and can walk to all shops and services. Now with the addition of the civic square, there will be a central place to gather as well, in the tradition of  small European communities.

Here’s a couple of excuses to get out and enjoy downtown Ridgeway while we’re waiting for our Village Square to be built:

Fall Festival on October 13th

The Spirit of Christmas on November 30th / Dec.1st.
