Real Estate Agent or Realtor?

If you are looking to buy or sell Niagara Falls CA homes, Fort Erie homes, Port Colborne ON homes, you have heard and used the terms Realtor and Real Estate Agent but did you know that there is a difference between the two?

REALTOR® is a term that is a registered certification mark identifying service quality by licensed real estate agents. Realtors are members of CREA, (the Canadian Real Estate Association) and must comply with a strict code of ethics. All Realtors are real estate agents. Realtors can list your property for sale on the MLS system. Click here to learn more about the Canadian Real Estate Association and how it helps you as a client.

In the Niagara region, Realtors are members of the Niagara Association of Realtors (NAR) and the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA). Clients using Realtors have the protection of the Real Estate Council of Ontario: Click here to learn more about RECO.

Not all real estate agents are Realtors with the benefits of listing on the MLS system.

At our D. W. Howard Realty office, we have 11 agents all of which are experienced Realtors with unique local knowledge of Lake Erie waterfront homes, Ridgeway homes, Crystal Beach waterfront homes, Fort Erie lakefront homes.
