Fort Erie and Ridgeway Ontario Canada Historical Museums and Exhibits

Here are some museums & exhibits in & around Fort Erie for the history buff in you:

Fort Erie Historical Museum:  402 Ridge Road, Ridgeway Ontario Canada.  Open daily from June until September 1st, and Sunday through Friday the rest of the year. 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, admission by donation. You can also find geneology records located in the archives here.

Fort Erie Railway Museum:  400 Central Ave. Fort Erie Ontario. Open daily from May 21st through September 1st, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Admission by donation.

Ridgeway Battlefield Memorial Park – features an outdoor exhibit “The Fenian Raids”.  Located at 3388 Hwy 3. Free admission.

“Mewinzha: A Journey Back in Time” is an archaeology collection and native art exhibit in the Peace Bridge Administration Building, 10 Queen street, Fort Erie. Open 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Free admission.  Also in the Peace Bridge Administration Building you will find the “Bridge that Peace Built” exhibit.

Fort Erie Town Hall atrium features Museum exhibits.
